Day 8

We were supposed to go golfing with the Cdn group yesterday(Sunday)...but because of Katie's back hurting we decided we wouldn't go. Turns out it didn't matter anyway as it was raining in the morning.

Later on the rain stopped, so Katie, Al, and myself went shopping to get some of the hardware we needed to put up the wind/sun shades on the carport.

Came back, had some lunch, and then Al and I proceeded to put up the material(pictures posted yesterday). The installation procedure we decided on went very well.

While we were doing that, Katie was planting the flowers we bought the other day in the front of the trailer.

Then we sat down to admire our work and have a beer. Told Al I would buy him supper so he went home to grab a shower, I did the same and Al came back at 6:00 so that we could go out for supper.

We went to El Patio in Mission and had the chicken strips. The meal was very good as usual and with the portions so large we brought several home which can be used to make chicken salad during the week.

Then a bit of TV and off to bed...still tired from the time change.

And so ends another great day in the Valley...

I was in a bit of a hurry this morning so didn't get a chance to post about Bonnie, a friend of Al's. Bonnie came with us to Al Patio for Supper. Bonnie is one of those type of people who are comfortable in their own skin, who don't try and put on airs, are happy and fun, and when you meet them for the first time, you feel that you've known them much longer than that.

Katie and Bonnie got along very well and I liked her alot as well. We had fun conversation over our meal. Afterwards Katie and I showed them Canyon Lake RV Park where Katie and I first spent time in the valley.

Then we went back to Bonnie's place, had a nitecap and some more pleasant conversation. Bonnie's place is going to be great, she is doing a lot of work herself and you can just see the potential. She is obviously a get to it Lady.

Now for the best part...she shot 77 on the golf course yesterday and that was with a penalty. Wow!...but we are still going to set up a 4 some with Al and Bonnie and Katie and I for next week.

It was a very good nite!
