Yesterday was a real shopping day and we were gone virtually the whole day. It was all sorts of items we needed or wanted and a big grocery shop. As I said yesterday, we made a mistake going shopping on Sunday, so Monday was so much better. By the end of the day though...I felt pretty exhausted...combination of shopping and left over effects from the drive. Got to watch some of the Jets game on the internet, good game, they played well and continue to do their thing at home...awesome!
Had a pretty decent sleep last night...Katie and I went to the park meeting this morning which is for all the owners. Not much substance today...mostly all the various committee's giving reports, and just about all of them were entertainment oriented. Nothing of real substance was discussed.
Katie and I had a nice visit with our friend Al...then off we went to do a bit more shopping...not too much...and got some flowers to put in our pots in front of the trailer.
Very windy here today...we were thinking about hitting balls on the range, but it is just too windy.
When we got back from our errands, we stopped by Raymond and Lorraine's place who we golfed with a few times last year. We really like them...they live in thunder Bay Ontario. We had a couple of drinks and some fun conversation....and before we knew it a couple of hours went by. Raymond was the golf champion this year shooting 79 and 77 over two days against some pretty stiff competition. He has tied several times and lost in a playoff but never won the whole thing. He is pretty stoked about that.
I sent Sister Maureen an email telling her that Katie and I would like to take her out for lunch before we make our trip to Mexico. We are meeting her tomorrow at noon, to give her a couple of laptops which will be refurbished and end up in Mexico. Thanks to my friend Al Brolly for those. If Sister Maureen is going to Mexico on Friday we will likely go, as we can hardly wait to see our girl Vickey and her family. Sister Maureen says she is waiting for us.
We are also going to Don-West Flea Market tomorrow as I want to get some sun block material to close in the patio area. Then later in the day we have been invited to our friends Larry and Shirley for their annual Chilli fest. We were there last year and had a great time and got to meet some new people.
Now it is supper time, and relaxing for the rest of the evening.
more later....
and another great day in the Valley!
