Yesterday we got up early to go golfing with our friends in the Canadian Group. We went to Shary Municipal in Mission for 9 holes then brunch afterwards.
The ladies go together and the men go together. Katie golfed pretty well, I didn't. My driving was o.k. but my chipping was not good. It was still fun and good company.
Afterwards we all went to the Country Omelette for brunch. Again, men sit together and so do the women. It is kind of a strange thing that women and men always get split up for what reason I have no idea.
After brunch, Katie and I went to Harbour Freight which was basically next door. Got some fridge magnets for Al and I got a 32 piece screwdriver and ratchet set for $7.98...unreal!
Then we went to Golf Headquarters and Katie got a nice golf glove for $6.00. and we got see through head covers.
Off we went then to Sprouts Market which a couple of friends told us about. We browsed around there for awhile and picked up some items. It is a very neat store with all sorts of organic products and health related foods.
We came home then, and after awhile we went to the hot tub and pool. No one was in the hot tub so we just relaxed there for awhile. Then we went in the pool and had a nice conversation with an older couple for awhile.
Then it was back to the hot tub before we were set to go home and have supper. I was getting in the hot tub and going down the stairs when I head Katie yell out behind me. She was obviously in pain and couldn't talk for a few minutes. She told me she had missed a step and went over on the side of her foot, and it was extremely painful. She also said she heard like something like a crunch at the time.
We decided the best place to go was home and get ice on it. Katie just held on to me for support, trying not to put weight on the foot as when she did, she was in pain.
Katie just kept icing for the rest of the evening, my friend Al was at the door in no time, and offered to go get us supper. He went and got us a pizza, and that was very much appreciated.
We were supposed to play golf today with Al and Bonnie, but that was obviously a no go.
Today we will go and get treatment somewhere, as it is pretty obvious we can't just let it go.
more later....
